The Harvest / La Cosecha: A Documentary Film about Migrant Children Farm Workers

The Department of Curriculum & Instruction, home of The Quetzal Critical Film Series, is showing the film: The Harvest/La Cosecha. This documentary film focuses on U.S. migrant children farm workers and brings to light the mental, physical, educational, and economic sacrifices these children endure as they work to feed not only the U.S., but the world. The film follows three children as they make the journey from Texas' hot onion fields to Michigan's apple orchards, and then to Florida's tomato fields. This film will be showing on November 5, 2013 at 6:30pm in ED 1007. The screening of this film will be followed by a discussion.
