Exonerated: A Brief and Dangerous Freedom

When:
Thursday, October 23, 2014 12:30 PM - 1:30 PM
Where:
Hines Academic Center 204
Description:

Some people refer to James Woodard as Joyce King’s “fall from grace.” King contends she fell into grace by doing what she thought any compassionate person would do to help a loved one. As King continues to speak out against injustice and racism (“And I always will …”), she takes us through some life events that led to her 2012 book, “Exonerated: A Brief and Dangerous Freedom” (River Grove Books).
