Centennial Hall Teaching Theater
Presenters from multiple backgrounds will share their stories of success and their personal ordeal from the moment they started their journey in their native country and the barriers they overcame to succeed in the Unites States. We will also address some of the most common myths about immigrants by presenting the facts. The purpose of this event is to illustrate that the only barriers to succeed is the lack of opportunities or the lack of courage to overcome those barriers. This event is intended to empower the students to follow their dreams or goals no matter the obstacles they have to overcome. Special guest: Dr. Margarita Arellano, Dean of Students. Reception to follow.
