Andrew Marriner has held the position of principal clarinet in the London Symphony Orchestra since 1986, later becoming principal clarinet of the Academy of St Martin in the Fields, a position he held concurrently until 2008. He has performed with chamber ensembles around the world – including the Chilingirian, Lindsay, Endellion, Moscow, Warsaw, Orlando, Saccone and Belcea string quartets – and with some of the most distinguished figures in the world of chamber music: Alfred Brendel, André Previn, Andras Schiff, Lynn Harrell, Stephen Isserlis, Emanuel Ax, Hélène Grimaud, Sylvia McNair and EditaGruberova. Career highlights include many performances with his father, Sir Neville Marriner, both as soloist and as a member of the Academy of St Martin in the Fields.

Open to the public.  Tickets available in advance at txstatepresents.com or at the door at least 30 minutes prior to the start of the program.  Fee-based parking is available at the Edward Gary Street Garage, across the street from the Performing Arts Center.  (Attention students enrolled in the Department Recital course: This is a GOLD event).
