Description:

Ben Fountain is the author of Billy Lynn's Long Halftime Walk (2012), which won the National Book Critics Circle Award. The novel was adapted into the film by the same name, directed by Academy Award-winner Ang Lee, released in November 2016. Fountain is also the author of Brief Encounters with Che Guevara: Stories (2007), winner of the PEN / Hemingway Award. He holds a law degree from Duke University and was the Endowed Chair in Creative Writing at Texas State, 2014-2016.
