Monday, December 05, 2016 11:00 AM - 12:15 PM
Where:
Comal Room 116 / Philosophy Dialogue Room
Description:

In the Aftermath of the 2016 Elections:
Dialogues on Democracy and Conflict

In response to recent events on campus and in our community (local and national), and having heard many calls from students for opportunities to discuss and to learn about what’s going on, the Philosophy Dialogues, together with the Interrogating Violence Critical Conversations, is sponsoring a series of facilitated dialogues called "In the Aftermath of the 2016 Elections: Dialogues on Democracy and Conflict." These dialogues are intended to provide an opportunity for participants to practice speaking and listening with the purpose of furthering understanding (and not to win an argument or debate, convince an opponent, or make a point). Participants will also be provided with resources, suggestions, and guidance on how to continue the dialogues with friends, roommates, family, and community members.
