Morning Sessions (8:30am–1pm); includes lunch & $450 stipend
Hear from COE and COSE faculty conducting education research regarding STEM education practice improvements. Work as colleagues to share instructional strategies & resources and discuss approaches for improving undergraduate student learning and retention in science, mathematics, engineering, engineering technology and computer science fields study. Participants are asked to kindly complete a final research survey.
This opportunity is open to any instructor of a STEM or STEM Education course at Texas State University. Limited opportunity. Must Pre-register.Afternoon Sessions (12pm–4pm), includes lunch & $250 stipend
Participate in a three-session workshop guided by national experts in the field of engineering education research from Purdue University and Texas State University's LBJ Institute for STEM Education & Research. Gain awareness of rigorous educational research methodologies, review winning NSF funding proposals and walk away with your own peer-reviewed research plan for a future research grant proposal. Faculty agree to complete a research survey.
