The Round Rock Public Library and the SCORE Austin chapter will offer a series of free workshops for small business owners (or those who are interested in starting their own business) on Fridays, from 12:30 to 2:30 p.m., September 8 through November 10. SCORE is a nonprofit association dedicated to helping small businesses get off the ground, grow and achieve their goals through education and mentorship.
These free timely workshops, presented by recognized experts and practitioners, will cover a variety of issues facing small business owners and entrepreneurs including financial issues, marketing, and strategic planning.
Join us Friday, Sept. 15, for Cybersecurity, presented by Ken Weinstock and Tom Dillig. Recent cyber attacks have disrupted many businesses and other organizations, large and small. Learn the threats and solutions for training to avoid threats. Large businesses spend heavily to secure their information and systems. Small businesses are becoming more common targets because they have fewer resources to implement security.
Do you know how to protect your computers, programs, networks, and data from attack, damage, or unauthorized access? Ken will identify and explain technologies, processes, and best practices that will help you to protect your business from cyber criminals and poor security practices. Tom will address training for business owners and their employees to practice safe computing.
